About Me

Welcome to my personal website! My name is Ali Pedram. I am a Ph.D. candidate in Physics Department of Koç University, İstanbul, Turkey. Before transitioning to physics, I studied mechanical engineering. I hold B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in mechanical engineering from University of Tabriz and Sahand University of Technology. 

Currently, I’m a member of the QuEST team and I’m doing research activities under supervision of professor Özgür E. Müstecaplıoğlu. I am interested in quantum metrology, open quantum systems, quantum thermodynamics, quantum optics and quantum control theory. When I’m not studying or doing research I like listening to heavy metal music (mostly death, thrash and power metal) and lifting weights.
